Originally released in 1989, two years after the foundational Air Max 1, the Air Max Light was first called the Air Max 2 as it was considered a sequel. Nike Sportswear will be bringing back another classic retro runner with the return of the Air Max Light. The Air Max Light sees the signature bubble unit in the midsole, and likewise, the “Nike Air” motifs can be found on the tongue as well as at the rear. A contrasting combination of white, navy and “Sports Red” takes over the uppers; the navy Swoosh and nubuck overlay embellishes the vintage white body. An electrifying “Sports Red” coats the insole, lining and the lacestays, finishing-up the retro look of the Air Max Light.
