The Nike Air Max 97“London Summer of Love” designed by Jasmine Lasode is set to release as part Nike’s On Air Collection. Lasode’s Nike Air Max 97 celebrates summer in the city and love, with a personal memory – a first date spent on Primrose Hill – as her inspiration. Uppers come adorned with various hits of orange, deep green, volt, and a balancing note of white while contrasting typography along profile and heel spell out “97P” and “Good Chat,” respectively.
The Nike Air Max 97 ’London Summer of Love’ will release at select retailers in London first and then a global launch will take place on April 13th. Retail price is set at $200.
Nike was founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports and initially operated as a distributor for the Japanese shoemaker Onitsuka Tiger (now known as Asics).
