Vans recently introduced Sid Ni, a brand new pair of shoes. Not only is the name very similar to the previous Bold Ni, but it’s also an adaptation of the original ’90s shoe, which was eventually relaunched. Sid Ni was born in 1995, a pair of skateboard shoes with the characteristics of that era. Supreme and Pass~Port were co-branded with the original Sid Pro.
Vans Sid Ni will start out with a shiny “Glitter” line of black and blue Glitter, which will be lit up to create a vibrant look. Vans thickened the sole of Sid Ni to give it the feel of a platform shoe, while retaining a rubber-reinforced front and rear design on the outsole with two black lines in the middle.
The enlarged “clip-flying V” Logo on both sides of the shoe stands out. One of the first Vans logos has been popping up more and more recently, and the lacing holes are reinforced with metal. UltraCush insoles are also available for a comfortable foot feel.
“The concept behind Sid Ni is to bring a completely new and innovative design to the classic Vans skate shoe, which we have added a muffin sole, a modern vulcanized construction, and UltraCush insoles to provide a comfortable foot feel. “By combining modern design with traditional elements, including the over-the-top Flying -v logo, we were able to make this pair of retro sids so special. Vans shoe designer Rafael Mayorga introduces the launch.
