Nike Air Max 97 Inspired by the Nintendo 64

Nike Sportswear will be releasing an upcoming Air Max 97 that comes inspired by the classic gaming console, the Nintendo 64. As you can see this Nike Air Max 97 features Light Grey across the mesh upper while the same shade is applied to the leather overlays which is a tribute to the controller. In addition we have accents of Green, Blue, Yellow and Red which is for the buttons. Other distinct details include a triangle pattern printed on the mudguard to reflect the Yellow buttons, followed by “Power” and “Reset” text on each tongue, as well as “Air Max” branding styled in the same Nintendo font on the heel tabs. Finally, the insole bears a special graphic that acknowledges the ESRB rating symbol found on the video game packaging to round out the theme.
