The Independent Truck Company, a well-known U.S. maker of skateboard mounts, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. As early as early August, Independent celebrated its birthday with a joint series with the Vans Pro Skate professional Skate line. But there is a follow-up to the anniversary, with a new range of shoes and clothes on the theme of the 40th anniversary.
The joint venture is based on three sets of Vans Pro Skate shoes featuring Half Cab Pro, Gilbert Crockett Pro 2 and AV Classic Pro. Each pair of shoes comes with a UltraCush HD professional cushioning insole and Duracap abrasion resistant rubber reinforcement provided by Vans Pro Skate to provide more protection for the slippery foot and foot and to make the shoe more durable.
The whole series is a combination of dark blue and dark brown for the cold season. Gilbert Crockett Pro 2 is dark blue dotted around the toe, heel and tongue, while the rest is covered in dark brown and Sidestripe is outlined in lighter brown leather. Half Cab Pro is more blue and brown in the neckline and side. The AV Classic Pro covers the entire upper in dark blue, with just brown lacing holes, tongue and side markings.
Three pairs of shoes all come with white outsole wrapings, and silver, which echoes the stand sold for Independent, is used to outline the waterline. At the same time, the cross Logo of Half Cab Pro and AV Classic Pro are also used in silver, while Gilbert Crockett Pro 2 is only presented in white.
As we mentioned in the previous trailer, hoodies, t-shirts (including long and short sleeves), hats and socks are also available. They also feature dark blue and brown, while Vans’ iconic checkerboard pattern, the Independent Logo and Vans’ Logo appear.
The Independent x Vans Pro Skate winter 2018 co-branded series has been available on Vans’ official website and stores. Half Cab Pro is selling for 80 USD, Gilbert Crockett Pro 2 is selling for 85 USD, and AV Classic Pro is selling for 11880 JPY.
