After Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nike signed a longterm deal, it appears that his first signature shoe, the Nike Greek Freak 1 (Zoom Freak 1) could release as early as April. It comes in a simple Black and White color scheme, highlighted with the Greek Freak’s branding on the tongue. The low-cut sneaker comes equipped with a textile upper and fuse overlays, while having an oversized Swoosh logo riding up the midsole.
Again, no confirmation yet from Nike on whether or not this is indeed the Nike Green Freak 1, but confirmation should be coming soon as Giannis is expected to debut the shoe during this year’s playoffs.
Nike was founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports and initially operated as a distributor for the Japanese shoemaker Onitasuka Tiger (now known as Asics).
