This pair of shoes has a primitive feeling at first glance, but if you look carefully, you will find that it also contains modern aesthetics, if you like, you can start with it.
New year, new shoes. adidas is gearing up for 2019 with the debut of some fresh silhouettes and the reintroduction of beloved classic icons, and from the former is the Nite Jogger, a brand new model that blends an attractive multi-layered upper with their uber-comfortable cushioning unit. There’s an apparent retro-meets-contemporary aesthetic to the shoe as it juxtaposes traditional mesh toes, suede uppers, and the exposed sponge innards of the tongue with the present-day Boost, coated nylon, and flashy reflective panels.
The classic tongue construction also lends to the throwback appeal, shying away from the fitted bootie. Overall, this impressive new model falls in line with their continuing design ethos of the past informing the future, seamlessly blending elements from both pools. The adidas Originals Nite Jogger will release at select boutique retailers in January 2019 and at wider locations in the following April. The black colorway seen here is priced at $140.
