Footpatrol, a famous London sports shoe institute, highly advocates traditional culture. It is not only the ancient city where the shops are located, but also the traditional shoes of various brands. Vans is one such brand with a long history, which led to the first cooperation between the two sides in this cold winter.
Although it was the first time to cooperate, Footpatrol was very experienced and sparing no effort to make every detail. The extremely popular OG Slip-On LX, OG Old Skool LX and OG sk8-hi LX became the main characters of this design. The three pairs of shoes were presented with classic black and white color matching.
All three pairs of shoes are made of high-end suede, 10-ounce canvas and special long suede by Vans Vault. The outsole edge is also more upper and smooth. Footpatrol also provides three pairs of shoes with mirror stitching lines of outer white and inner black. The back side of the white outsole edge is also decorated with the same color and three-dimensional raised “FOOTPATROL” English and “cross dot” Logo.
Slip-On shoes are almost covered with black body, white suede heel is particularly conspicuous. The tongue edge of the shoes with white background and black characters neutralizes the whole black body, which is decorated with black “VAULT” and “FOOTPATROL” in English. The elastic band of shoe money one black one white appear in mirror image means in shoe money right and left feet.
Old Skool and sk8-hi use black suede toe and heel in the same way. The inside and outside sides are black and white respectively, and mirror distribution is also adopted. The Sidestripe of the two shoe styles keeps the same color scheme as the side, outlined in simple leather that is not obvious but is very individual.
The two lace-ups are also fitted with black and white lettering with logos of both sides, even the holes in the LACES have been carefully sewn and reinforced. The tongue of Old Skool was sewn with white thread, while sk8-hi used the same sliding edge design as Slip-On, and the tongue labels of opposite colors of black and white were decorated On the left and right feet respectively.
In this cooperation, the whole series was only presented in black and white colors, and the heel marks of course should be kept consistent. Therefore, Footpatrol paired the heel marks of black and white with the left and right feet respectively. In addition, Footpatrol also made a lot of efforts on the outsole. It was injected into the sole of three pairs of shoes with asymmetrical wave points and gradual black-and-white changes.
For the first time, the two sides also made exclusive black insoles. The white Vans Logo is printed on the back, and Footpatrol “gas mask” black and white Logo is added on the top, and “Originals” in English is displayed on the bottom.
Footpatrol x Vans Vault 2018 joint series will be launched on November 30th.
