KITH PARK’s fall/winter 2018 collection was successfully held at New York fashion week last September. Surprisingly, in the back photo of the event, the mastermind JAPAN x KITH x Vans Vault shoe collection was revealed. Although we haven’t been able to find out the full details of this collaboration since then, we have recently been able to find out more details about the OG Old Skool LX.
The photos have been retouched to appear in black and white, but from the backstage photos from the previous release, you can see that the Old Skool covers the entire body in brown and is made of premium, soft leather, with the Sidestripe simply outlined as a car line. Both sides of the shoe are decorated with many mastermind JAPAN’s iconic skull embossing, the head of the shoe is also in the same way embossed with “KITH” and skull pattern.
This pair of Old Skool also adds gold metal shoelace holes and gold and brown woven round shoelaces. A closer look will find many words carved on the small metal holes. For a pair of cold-season shoes, the collar of the Old Skool is also covered with a comfortable white fluff. A square piece of metal printed with “KITH” English was added at the heel to echo the toe. Finally, the edge of the white outsole bag is engraved with a circle of gothic font in the form of hollow-out, making the shoe more delicate and complete.
