Nike Air Force 1 ‘City Pride’ Represents the Toronto Blue Jays

Baseball is here and with Summer just around the corner, Nike is releasing another Air Force 1 part of their City Pride series. This time around the model pays homage to the Toronto Blue Jays and their old school uniforms. The Green sockliner represents the under bill of baseball caps, and the baseball-esque stitching on the tongue delivers a striking finish.
For those interested in purchasing the Nike Air Force 1 ‘City Pride’ for Toronto, they will release at select retailers and online at Nike.com on May 3rd. Retail price is set at $130.

 

Nike was founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports and initially operated as a distributor for the Japanese shoemaker Onitasuka Tiger (now known as Asics). It officially became Nike Inc. in 1971.The Nike swoosh was designed by Portland State University student Carolyn Davidson,The slogan “Just Do It” was inspired by serial killer Gary Gilmore, who said “let’s do it” just before he was executed by a firing squad in 1977.
