Nike is about to launch a new Nike Air Force 1 to celebrate Mexico’s annual Day of the Dead holiday.The upcoming color scheme is called “Day of Dead” and is inspired by the sugar skulls to face paint and flamboyant outfits during the holiday season.
These “Day Of The Dead”-inspired Air Force 1s may appear to be a somewhat simple white low-top with colorful yellow, blue, pink, and green piping upon first glance, but closer inspection reveals their signature detail: there’s an ever-so-faint repeating skull print on the mudguard, towards the rear, and on the midfoot Swoosh. This print is then blown up and presented in vivid pink on the insole, while more special pink graphics also grace the tongue. A black logo-equipped heel tab, bronze lace deubre, and white midsole with black accents then complete the look.
