This June, Nike will be celebrating the Detroit Pistons 30th Anniversary of their first back-to-back championships in 1989 with an Air Force 1 Low. Adding to the celebration is an upcoming Air Force 1 High that nods to their 2004 Championship when they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in 5 games. It comes dressed in the Pistons team colors. The upper comes in a Game Royal patent leather construction complimented by some geometric architectural that pays tribute to the Palace of Auburn Hills exterior. Straps as well as the back heel tab come embroidered with the year of ’04 and the classic Nike Air logo, respectively, finished in a luxurious gold thread in connection to the geometric patterns found throughout. White tongues and eyestays contrast alongside the bleached midsole, with icy blue outsoles completing a cool-leaning scheme.
