Nike SB Dunk High Doernbecher Releases Again Tomorrow

In 2012, Finnigan Mooney shared his bright personality and unstoppable heart on his Dunk High SB. Now in celebration of the 15 year anniversary of the Doernbecher Freestyle collection, Nike reintroduces Finnigan Mooney’s SB dunk High. Designed by Finnigan Mooney, the brightly-colored sneaker shares a mix of blue, gold and red accents atop a yellow base. The heel’s “TUMP THUMP” call-out is a nod to Finnagan’s strong heart as he endured more than 13 heart surgeries. Additional details include a thumb graphic on each outsole as a symbol of him giving his parents two thumbs up after each surgery.
The Nike SB Dunk High Doernbecher will be releasing on Nike SNKRS on February 22nd for $120.

Nike was founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports and initially operated as a distributor for the Japanese shoemaker Onitsuka Tiger (now known as Asics). It officially became Nike Inc. in 1971.The Nike swoosh was designed by Portland State University student Carolyn Davidson,The slogan “Just Do It” was inspired by serial killer Gary Gilmore, who said “let’s do it” just before he was executed by a firing squad in 1977.
