Back in 2017 in Berlin, inspired by the feedback received from Eliud Kipchoge after the runner narrowly missed the sub-two hour mark set by the BREAKING2 initiative, Nike designers found a way to improve the VaporFly with 3D-printed textile called Nike Flyprint. Bringing the silhouette down to a feather-light 11 grams, the piece of technology boasts almost zero water retention while retaining the elements that made the original so popular. Initially released at an exclusive runners event in Chicago as well as at a London launch in a different colorway, the Vaporfly Elite Flyprint will surely be seeing a wider release very soon.
