The adidas Originals ZX line made its debut back in 1984. Ever since then it has been at the forefront of progressive footwear design. Now that legacy is being pushed even further with the creation of the reimagined adidas ZX Torsion.
The adidas ZX Torsion combines elements of the ancestry with a forward-thinking design ethos. It features a number of references to classic ZX models such as the ZX 8000, whose distinctive Aqua colorway is reimagined for the debut of the ZX Torsion model.
Design details on the shoe include a mesh and suede upper paired up with a quilted mesh tongue paying homage to the materials of the ZX 8000. Below you will find a Boost midsole concealed within an EVA cup tooling and rubber elements that reference the original ZX tooling. Other details on the shoe include the translucent panel details on the forefoot that leads to the placement of a placement of a Torsion bar in the midfoot that references one of the ZX series’ most revered technical elements.
