Back in early mid-November, DJ Khaled and SoleFly owners unveiled the new upcoming SoleFly x Air Jordan 1 collaboration which included not one, but two different iterations of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. Both pairs are slated to drop during Art Basel weekend, with one being extremely more limited (23 pairs) than the other.
The more widely available (still expected to be very limited) features an all-leather upper and takes on a Miami Hurricanes inspiration as the school’s colors of orange and green take care of the majority of the upper. White is then added on the side panels as well as on the midsole for contrast. The shoe also includes custom tongue tags, stamped heel logos, 305 (Miami’s area code) written inside the tongues, and an oversized Jumpman hangtag.
The second and more limited pair features full patent leather construction on the upper with black dominating a large portion of the shoe. Dark green can then be seen on the ankle/heel area as well as on the toe. The lateral Swoosh is done in green while the medial Swoosh comes done in Orange to complete the Miami Hurricanes inspiration. A gold Jumpman hang tag, white midsole, and black rubber outsole wrap up the look on this It is believed that there is only 23 pairs available of this colorway making it one of rarest Jordan 1s of all-time.
Both pairs are slated to release on December 8th during Art Basel weekend. No word yet if the Orange and Green pair will get a wider or GR release.
