The Nike Air Foamposite One Premium “Doernbecher” Returns This Month

In celebration of its 15-year anniversary, Nike is now set to reintroduce Elijah Diggin’s Air Foamposite One Premium. The Nike Air Foamposite One “Doernbecher” was designed by Elijah Diggins, a patient at the Doernbecher Hospital who was diagnosed with Burkitt leukemia at the age of 13. In 2013, patient designer Elijah Diggins shared his story of being diagnosed with Burkitt leukemia on his 13th birthday through his red and black Air Foamposite One Premium. The colorway represents his condition, a form of blood cancer, and is also a nod to one of his favorite basketball teams.
Look for the Nike Air Foamposite One “Doernbecher” to return tomorrow, February 21st at 10AM EST via Nike SNKRS. The retail price tag is set at $230 USD.

Nike was founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports and initially operated as a distributor for the Japanese shoemaker Onitsuka Tiger (now known as Asics).
