How many people can understand the pure color fashion? Solid colors will never go out of fashion. No matter in which era, in which style, the pure color style can always find his place.
Having just collaborated with Nike on the React Element 87, Jun Takahashi’s Undercover is now joining forces with Converse to release the Undercover x Converse Chuck 70 Low Order and Disorder Pack.Having debuted during Pitti Uomo in January, the collection takes a dystopian approach to contrast through its application of materials and colors. Constantly looking to challenge the labels attached to the Undercover brand, founding designer Jun Takahashi applied elements from his Fall 2018 collection “Order/Disorder” onto the canvas of the Converse Chuck 70.
Converse x Undercover explores the dichotomy that exists between Takahashi’s designs while harnessing the versatility of the iconic Converse silhouette. As a brand that straddles the street and the runway, Takahashi reinterpreted the Chuck 70 to create contradiction and elicit the notion of reflection and tension.
The collection features four distinct colorways—Black, White, Racing Red and Buttercup—on vintage canvas. The words “ORDER” and “DISORDER” are printed on the silhouette’s high-gloss toe box, with matching colors on the contrasting toe bumpers.
