Late last year, Vans brought back from its historic archives a pair of shoes from the 1990s — the Vans Bold Ni. Vans announced more color palettes for the Bold Ni earlier this year, and Billy’s, a trendy Japanese retailer, recently gave the Bold its own line of retro Bold Ni shoes.
BILLY’s has a pair of Vans Bold Ni shoes in exclusive yellow and dark green colors from zinnia. Formerly known as Style #77, the Vans Bold Ni comes with a longer, smaller silhouette and a t-shaped toe with a retro twist.
The Sidestripe on the Bold Ni has the iconic Vans Sidestripe, but the large Sidestripe also serves as a unique focal point: the Sidestripe, which starts at the top of the boot, ACTS as the eyelet for the LACES.
As with last year’s Bold Ni retread launch, Vans covered the body with comfortable suede, while Sidestripe used white for details like stitching and LACES. Vans also printed its Logo on the black waterline as a finishing touch.
What’s even more striking is the Bold Ni’s soles, which are filled with checkerboard patterns that match the color of the body.
