Tie-dye is a time-honored fabric dyeing process, and Vans started using tie-dye in its shoes in the late 1970s. This spring, Vans Classics Classics has brought tie-dye patterns back to the Era classic – the 1976 Era, by Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta, was an Authentic improvement, and as this year’s staple, Era will be in the air.
The “tie-dye” collection was inspired by the famous haight-ashbury neighborhood of Los Angeles, which has been famous for its color-dye technology for decades. This time, Vans used advanced digital printing techniques to create tie-dye prints in bright red, yellow and green and black across the Vans Era’s canvas upper. Pair with white lacing holes, black lacing and tongue binding for details.
