Vans first ventured into the Vans Vault, a high-end branch line, last year, using its classic high-top sk8-hi model as a prototype for the deconstructive design trend and reintroducing it as a new sk8-hi CAP LX shoe called “Cut & Paste/Paste.” Thanks to its bold and novel design, the “Cut & Paste” series has enjoyed good sales reputation.
Then this spring, the Vans Classics branch launched a “reproduction” of the collection so that more Vans enthusiasts can buy it. Now Vans has officially announced a new set of sk8-hi CAP colors, which will be available in bright red, blue and grey-yellow colors for the summer.
The sk8-hi Reissue CAP breaks the traditional structure layout and adjusts the position layout of various structures: the outside of the shoe is covered with solid color canvas, and the leather Sidestripe is sewn with rare serrate and same color sewing thread. The zipper is arranged along the eyelet piece for easy wearing and taking off, and half of the shoelace is tied to the gripper.
On the inside, it’s filled with checkerboard patterns, and even the Sidestripe is simply outlined in lines. Sk8-hi also randomly sets a few silver metal shoelace holes, and the outer shoelace eye piece is more like the suede at the heel, extending to the oversole edge.
Both pairs of shoes are made of suede and canvas, supplemented by leather. One pair was all blue, with red details on the outside of the leather Sidestripe, zipper ends and inner serrated cord. Another pair of gray as the main body, the outer side of the same treatment, but in the inner side of the use of complete yellow canvas embellishment, and form a mirror image of the sense of design.
Vans Classics sk8-hi CAP’s new 2019 summer color palette is now available for $95
