The use of Leather in athletic shoes has become commonplace. Last winter, the Vans Vault high-end line, called “Italian Leather, “introduced Italian luxury Leather into shoes. Now, Vans Classics is once again pairing Leather with classic Old Skool shoes, bringing a new collection of “Leather”.
Although not as luxurious as the material used for the Vans Vault, this time Vans covered two pairs of Old Skool upper with soft and comfortable leather and presented in classic black and white. Both pairs of shoes use black waterline and white outsole. The leather is slightly ruffled, while the Sidestripe color keeps the classic white.
The most attractive of the two pairs of shoes is the shoelace design. This time, Vans replaced the Old Skool with a thick circular knitted shoelace. The traditional shoelace was replaced by a drawstring as prominent as the shoelace of mountaineering shoes. However, it was made of canvas. The tongue tag was also removed and the Vans Logo was displayed in black and white on the back.
Vans “Leather” Old Skool 2018 brand new shoes have been released, and both pairs of Old Skool are priced at 80 USD.
