In recent years, Vans has been good at digging its own “secret coffers,” showing off old shoes in historical archives like the recently released Bold Ni. But Vans is also continuing to update its classic footwear, with the addition of Vans slip-on and Era.
The Podium collection consists of two pairs of slip-on waffle lesaw and Era waffle lesaw shoes, each made of white canvas and paired with a dark brown wraparound. The name waflesaw refers to the “visible waffle bottom,” and Vans comes with an edge-to-edge, jagged waffle outsole.
In addition to the special waffle sole, the collection is adding a noticeable crescent-shaped wrap-top and comes with UltraCush Lite tech insole to make it more comfortable and lightweight to wear. The Vans Logo was sewn on the back of the outback of the outsole and printed in black with an upper case of “VSK66”.
